I had a question regarding volume control.
I currently run a
QSC CX404 for mains
EP4000 for my sub
DEQ2496 for EQ
and finally DCX2496 for my XO.
Where should i put my volume control? Digital control will toss out bits, if i do attenuation betweenthe DEQ and DCX then i have to go optical to DEQ (d-a) to the DCX (a-d) its crossed over then (d-a) then to amps which means 2 d-a stages and 1 a-d stage. Ideally I would do 1 D-A.
Does something like the outlaw990's optical out solve issues like this? Does anyone have a few suggestions on how to deal with volume control)
