Does Pioneer have a voltage selector so one can adjust the power from 110v to 230v as Yamaha has on their receivers?

I am thinking of the 814 and the 1014. It seems to be the smart thing to do when they are building this machines to make them same to fit the whole world and in the same time make it easy to us European importers ;) .

I could be wrong, but I believe they do have the selectors.

I've never seen a voltage selector switch on a Yamaha or Pioneer receiver.

I was sure I read it somewhere that Yamaha had a switch.

How about the labels on the back? Are they saying something about 110v-60 hz or 100-230v 50-60hz?

With 110v-60 hz I have to plug it in via a trafo converter 230-110v and that is not a great idea if one forgets about it *black cloud* and they are kind of expensive here.

And with 100-230v 50-60 hz I recon that all I have to do is to put on a other “power plug” and that is what I would prefer. I have seen that kind of labelling of electronics everywhere now that I have started to look after it, like my DVD player and TV etc…So maybe there is hope.

Give me some support now :D , thus it is not long before I have to decide if it is worth importing a 1014 from Bestbuy or buy it at “home”..

I know US receivers don't have a voltage selector switch. You can go to http://www.crutchfield.com and look at photos of many brands of receivers and they are only rated at "AC 120V 60Hz". I've only seen voltage selector switches on computer power supplies and higher end surge suppressors.

Thanks for the reply

I have more or less decided to stop worrying and go for the 1014 and Klipsch Quintet with Klipsch KSW-10 subwoofer combo from Bestbuy now and hook it up with a step down converter.

The speakers are they any good?
