Hi,

First of all before asking questions I'd like to say to all
The forum members, that this forum is really great:) and helped me a lot, so
Thanks a lot people of audio land. And of course also thumbs up  for the great reviewers/reviews that can be found here in AH.

I'd like to ask anyone who knows, whether the rxv 2500 which I'm going to buy from a u.s shop online is compatible with European voltage which is 220V/50Hz

As an aside the system I'm planning (and fantasizing :D ) on is:
Optoma hd72
Yamaha rxv2500
Axiom 2xM60 ,v150, 2xQS8
Svs 20-39PCi

(I'm not quite sure yet about the axioms, because of bright sound reported, I'll probably post a question about it in loudspeaker's section later on)

Thanks.

Hi Seagull,

well, first of all, welcome to the forum!

Answering to your question, most probably not. Basically all models sold in the US market are single voltage only (120V/60Hz ); although you can find some specialized shops selling dual-voltage gears (such as www.world-import.com).

As a second option, you can either buy in the US or Europe a voltage converter (transformer) and you'll be fine.

All you have to do is find out what the power consumption will be ( in watts ) and adding a 20% gap in the necessary wattage. Example:

you need 800w for your Yammi 2500, so buy a 1000w (or more) transformer.
The remaining gears are pretty good ones. Believe you wouldn't be disappointed in choosing Axiom speaker though.

Good luck.
