Wow, that is a fantastic deal, IMO. I remember that tape deck (or one like it) from high school. It was the cream of the crop. So, sure, it's old...but that's a good price.

Yes, it's priced to sell. Back in the day I had a RX-505 and two Dragons. I've never used any cassette decks other then Nakamichi because there is no better.

I would buy it if I didn't already have one. This is a fantastic sounding 2 head deck, and contrary to popular belief, the flipper mechanism is extremely reliable. I worked in the Nak service department in the early 90s, and we hardly ever saw RX Decks come in with flipper problems. The design is ingenious and simple, and solves the azimuth problems inherent in conventional auto-reverse decks quite nicely. Plus it's fun to show your friends.
