I have been told by an authorized Vidikron rep that Vidikron is a subsidiary of Runco and that this monitor is identical to the new Runco XP-65DVD (except that the frame is silver). Anyone know if this is correct?

As a Vidikron dealer I can only say... If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc. etc.

Only this duck is THX cetified and a 1/2" thicker. What "real world" performance difference this will make I can't begin to guess but, it will look great in the show room we're building set to open up later this year !

Really, Runco has led me down a road where I have very little faith in them as a company - and anyone rebadging their showroom floor product is not a company I would deal with...

Wow! Now I'm just looking at the wall ahead of me where my dwarfted by comparison Sony CRT HDTV sits, and I'm imagining what that 65" Panny would look like mounted on that wall.... BEAUTIFUL! Too big? Naah!!!!
