Vidikron/Runco

I have been told by an authorized Vidikron rep that Vidikron is a subsidiary of Runco and that this monitor is identical to the new Runco XP-65DVD (except that the frame is silver). Anyone know if this is correct?

As a Vidikron dealer I can only say... If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc. etc.

Only this duck is THX cetified and a 1/2" thicker. What "real world" performance difference this will make I can't begin to guess but, it will look great in the show room we're building set to open up later this year :) !

Can you say "Marked up protected market with high price tag which doesn't reflect actual quality to boot?"

Where can I find Internet pricing on this rebadged NEC?

Really, Runco has led me down a road where I have very little faith in them as a company - and anyone rebadging their showroom floor product is not a company I would deal with...

Hey look - I can get a 65" plasma and STILL have money left over for that car...
