You have to watch out mostly for score boards in video games left on for an extended periods of time that could cause permanent ghost images. I think everyone has seen an old Pac Man game with PLAYER 1 permanently etched in the lower right corner.

It is a projection technology that bascially uses an array of tiny mirrors with a projection bulb and a spinning colored wheel to create an image. Rear projection or front projection - gotta replace the bulbs though.
