Alright computer brainiacs. My computers video card is bad. (I Think???)
The monitor shows straight and wavy artifacts over whatever screen is up, not all the time but on and off and when it does it locks the computer up. Sometimes a message will pop up that tells me a nvidia driver/card is to blame. (sorry I should have written it down) I updated the driver and it still does it. From what I understand this is/was a common problem with the 6600 chipset.

So, The current card is an nvidia geforce 6600. What is a good card to replace it with? My wifes Sims2 game is the most taxing workout it should get. We use this computer for the internet and a few games (we play more on the ps2 & xbox) but I dont want to doun grade those sims games run real slow if you dont have some power.

Thanks,
