VHS to DVD dubbing

I have collected over 2000 VHS movies over the years and now wants to transfer these movies to DVD, can anyone help a fifty-some year old beginner ? I have a Sony RDR-VX560 DVD recorder. Thanks!

You can connect the audio and video outputs of your VHS machine to the inputs of your DVD recorder.
