Velodyne SPL 1200 vs Def Tech Supercube One

Any recommendations on the Velodyne SPL 1200 vs the Def Tech Supercube One? I am looking for a smaller sub for a system with in-ceiling Sonance Ellipse LCR2's as mains...obviously smaller speakers so the sub will have to compensate for lack of low end from the mains. The room is 15 x 20 with 9 ft ceilings. The system will be used for both home theater and music. Any suggestions would be appreciated.....

I don't know awhole lot about Deftech, and their FR's seem to be impossible considering drivers sizes, but I have never heard one. I have heard the spl1200series 2, and its a great sub. Deep, clean, powerfull. I tested it in a 16 by 16 room, and it easily filled it, should do fine for your room.
Theirs a review here on audioholics if you havent already seen it.

The Super Cubes knocked my socks off with music. For the size, they are mighty impressive. Velodyne is an outstanding maker of mid to high end subs. Have you demo'd each? I'd even throw in a small Martin Logan if you can find one locally to demo.

I have the 10" Velo SPL-R, and in my 18X18 room it can blow things off the walls. Haven't heard the DefTech, but there are an awful lot of great subs out there, so pick a color and make your best deal.
