SMS-1 - or BFD?

Although I'm presently using a (Rane PE17) parametric EQ, I find running a sweep, looking at a room response curve, manually setting filter parameters and then re-running a sweep to be tedious and imprecise. A fellow HT enthusiast brought his SMS-1 to my house for testing and in minutes it had my sub's room response within 3dB compared to my much fussed over 5dB. I'm sold, especially now that I know REQ Wizard can generate the settings for it. But I also read good things about the BFD, and it's considerably less. First and foremost, I am interested in audio performance with ease of operation a close second. Compared to the SMS-1, what am I giving up with the BFD? Bear in mind that I would be using REQ Wizard to set the BFD's filter parameters.

Benefit of SMS-1 to use with 3 subs?

I realize the benefit of the SMS-1 when used with a single subwoofer. However, I am interested in connecting each of its LFE outputs to a different subwoofer. Since the three subs not only interact with the room but with each other, I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to attempt to equalize all three subs at once using the SMS-1?? Opinions/sugestions??
