Hey guys, anybody else check this out on Xbox Live? Normally it looked like something I would have steered away from. But the fact that Xbox had it available prior to the theatrical release won me over. I remember doing that with another film via Xbox live last year. I wish the rest of Hollywood would follow suit.
What looked like a decent film, (even if the running from the dark isn't entirely original) in the end was kind of a let down. There are definitely some suspenseful scenes and the sound effects really punctuated those. But at the end, I felt the audience was let down. Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, and John Leguizamo are in it. I was hoping against hope it would be good. I really want Hayden to finally have a winner, but the roles and scripts he lands don't give him much to work with.

A mysterious, seemingly global blackout causes countless amounts of people to simply vanish into thin air, leaving only their clothes and possessions behind. As more and more people disappear, so does daylight, forcing a small handful of survivors to band together in an abandoned, dimly-lit bar on Detroit, Michigan's 7th Street, struggling to combat the apocalyptic threat. Realizing they may in fact be the last people on Earth, the darkness begins to hone in on them alone. As the situation worsens, they know one thing for sure, that only the diminishing light sources can keep them safe.
