Vandy 1C's are a truly great speaker for $1K, the only problem is that the physical design hasn't changed and they look "old school". They don't try to do everything, but what they target, is executed flawlessly.

Vanders are great speakers.I have a few older friends who swear by them.I have to say I have listened to them many times Model 7 and 5a and 3a.They do look a bit "old school" but the sound is amazing..........the model 7 is a killer speaker my friend has a krell pre and a Macintosh 300 watt/channel running them with Monoprice cables and they sound amazing....truly a great company..

Yeah, exactly the same as I remember in the eighties when I was a younger lusting after the high end stuff. I was always impressed with the articles/reviews of them. Seems like a really good speaker for the price.
