i have already asked this question before but did not get a definate, for sure answer. i want to get a cadence csx-12 subwoofer. i want to hook it up with my current computer speakers. can this work if i use a headphone jack splitter and use my 1/8" headphone to rca cable to plug into subwoofer and use the subs crossover to cut out the highs? has anyone done this or know for a fact that it will work? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The friggin' cable we suggested costs maybe four dollars, man.

If you don't believe us, then invest four simoleans and try it for yourself. If it doesn't work, take it back and get your friggin' four dollars back!

As for the sub splitting out the highs, RTFM that comes with whatever sub you wind up with. There's your "definitive" answer.

You didn't ask about a splitter before, but you don't need it for the implementation you stated.

o by the way i was not criticizing you whatsoever. i am a noob to this stuff and im sure you know tons more than i do about it. i was only looking for other opinions and wanted to see if someone had actually done it, so they could give me feedback on how it works.

Sometimes ya gotta take a leath.

Particularly when the proposed solution cost about the same as a Happy Meal and you can get yer money back if it doesn't work.
