Using portable amp permantly

Ive been looking at some cheap amps (namely the FiiO A3) and i was wondering if any harm could come from using them constantly plugged in. Does anyone else use a portable amp in their stationary setup?

LOL I was thinking of an actual portable amp (this isn't really the headphone area) and was going to suggest something like a Crown XLS could be left plugged in anywhere you want no problem....
