For most of my music listening I use DVD players to play CD's. Do any of you do that too? Peace and goodwill.

I did in the past use a DVD player to play CDs over a short period of time, but now I use Blu-ray players to play them.

I've been doing that for so long I can't remember the last dedicated CD player I had.

Though, anymore I just rip the CD onto my computer and play it that way.

Did it for quite a while with a Sony DVD player when I lived in DFW. Upgraded to a NAD player in 2014 or so for the newer improved DAC. Still have the Sony to watch the occasional DVD these days. BTW, it sounded fine with CDs.

Oppo BDP-103D universal disc player used as a transport for audio in 5.1 system. Plays CD's, SACD's, DVD's, Blu-ray's, FLAC Files, etc. Anthem receiver used for DSP & DAC
.
Cyrus CDt transport used in headphone based system (very simple player, built like a tank). Plays CD's only. Digital coaxial to headphone amp/DAC.
