Using DAK record cleaner

Bought a DAK record cleaner. It works really well and a noticeable improvement once the records are cleaned.

My concern though, is am I causing any damage to my Pro-Ject Debut III turntable by cleaning records on it? I lay the cleaner on the record and let it spin, but the extra downforce causes the record to slow.

I just don't want to hurt the belt or motor by doing this. What are other vinyl aficionados doing?

That will not cause any damage.
