I like to write little review about Usher S520 speakers pared with Nad integrated amp. Few mouths back i was looking in to creating 2ch. setup for the computer room, mainly for late night listing at low levels .I needed nice crisp 2ch setup . At this time i had full HT setup in the living room and one of the speakers i was gonna use in my 2ch. setup ware Vienna Haydn grand speakers . I started looking for a integrated 2ch amp to go along with Vienna's , i settle down with Nad C352 .I hooked up everything in my little room that is about 10x12, and i didn't not like the outcome of that. What i experienced was moody sound with lots of bass. my Viennas didn't sound anything like they sound in the living room. Started to read a lot about Nad and Viennas ,first i thought it was the amp ,them amp vienna combo. At the end it was small room, viennas are not for small room. Vienna Haydn went back to living room as main speakers. Now the challenge was finding little speakers that are front ported that will sound clean and detailed with Nad and low levels. There was few Audioholics members that recommended me usher s520, i was little skeptical about them at first ,since there are some reviews that they come out as bright and lack in low end . I found pair of them at Agon , they ware about 1 year old ..... everything set up and i must say WOW , from a little speakers so much great sound . I like to put them head to head with Vienna acoustics Haydn grant . don't get me wrong viennas can come a life when turn up , but at low levels they are about the same in every aspect mid's are clean high's are just right. Overall Nad and usher makes great combo, very well balanced , i think Nad mellows down usher's harsh highs that some people ware complaining about.
