I have found an Hsu vtf-3 for $350 and a paradigm DSP 3200 for $400, are these subs worth the money and if so which one would you guys choose? I watch 90% movies 10% music in a sealed 1700 cu sq ft Ht in my basement.

Thanks for the help

If the VTF3 is a mk3 or mk4, get the Hsu. Otherwise, get the Paradigm. That is what I would do.

No, it's just the vtf 3, is $400 a good deal for the Paradigm?

Both subs worth their salt, HSU will be a bit more powerful (which you don't really need in your smaller space) and Paradigm could be fine tuned to produce more accurate overall result including room acoustics.

If it's a first generation VTF3, it has to be at least ten years old. That is too much $ for such on old sub. I would get the Paradigm. It's not a bad deal, but it not a super great deal on that one either.

If your budget is that high, I would be looking at brand new Hsu, SVS, PSA, or Reaction Audio sub. Odds are that klipsch will fall short of many of their respective offerings.
