For anyone in the Houston area, interested in Salk speakers, this sweet deal for nearly new HT2-TLs recently came up on audiogon. The asking price is $3300 - they were $4200 new. This is a deal. If I was closer, I would snap these up.

I never looked that far down to see those other items for sale .

For any readers who wonder if we are kidding, I would consider selling my mother to Arab terrorists to get these speakers, but those other items… not so much.

The funny part is that many of those other items are already sold!

He definitely will, but it looks like those inexpensive planar and ribbon tweets are both out. Both the BG and Fountek don't seem to work well if they are crossed as low as required. Above 3.5 kHz, they are both good, but to find a good sounding ribbon or planar that goes low seems to require $$. There are plenty of dome tweeters that can get the job done, but Dennis wants to exhaust all possibilities with ribbon or planar tweets first.
