After 10 years my UPS (connected to computer) just up and died. What are recommendations for a replacement, I've referred to an APC 1500AV unit ($165 on Amazon), thoughts ?

I have had really good luck with APC units, and I have five of them in use right now and one I do not have a use for currently.

I’ve had good luck with APC as well.
I’ve had to simply replace the battery before. You’re a car guy, it’ll be easy.

I recently purchased an HP UPS on eBay. I rather not repeat everything, but refer you to this thread on my fav IT forums:
p.s: I don't know which APC 1500VA you looking at, but In my experience such a new unit will never cost that little if it has Pure sine output.

Thanks for the feedback gents, after some more diagnosis it appears my unit has a circuit breaker issue as well as a battery (life) issue

So, just how important is it for such a 'pure' sine wave when it comes to powering my iMac ?
See highest upvote answer. Imac power supply is probably not critical, but for some devices it maybe required. I'm not taking chances.

Both my iMacs are just plugged into the wall socket, thanks for reminding me I need better protection!
