Upgrading surrounds.. help needing matching older JBL's!

Hi,

I've got a decent HT system now and would like to make it a bit better.

Current system:
Denon 2310CI
JBL Decade L36 (left & right, vintage, awesome, not for sale, keeping)
Infinity Sub 12"
JBL Flix 1 for surrounds & center -- want to step up these

So what is a step up for the surrounds and won't get lost by my older L & R JBL's?
Large room, finished basement. Room is 25 x 25, maybe larger; but HT is only on one side. Center of room divided by pillars for basement; still all open for sound... but all seating and layout is on half of the room.....

oh, system has one small flaw too... Mostly used for movies. Can sound very theater like... crank it up :D and then the defect happens... From somewhere (upstairs) you hear this faint "turn it down"....:p Happens everytime I am really into a movie...

So if I upgrade surrounds, will it make the defect worse? Hope so...
Thanks

Question.. .which I guess is why I asked in the first place...

Are all you choices JBL's for the sole purpose of "Matching" my older JBL's? I guess what I'm wondering..... is there an advantage / disadvantage to using JBL for surrounds & Center if primary L & R are JBL?

I'm more concerned about final HT sound vs keeping everything the same brand. But if keeping it all JBL works, then, yes I'm for it.
Just searching for Centers & Surronds.. there are soooo many choices. Any recommended over others? Prefer to keep total price under $500 (surrounds & center)

You can buy whatever you prefer >
There is no center match for your JBL fronts - I was reccomending
something in the JBL line, that is much better than the Flix ones
that you have. You are going to have a mismatch unless you buy
the same speaker you are using for the fronts - and that will make
it a big center, if you can make room for it. You can usually find
them speakers on Ebay.

You can use these as surrounds - however be warned, the treble will sound better
than the fronts

And there is the Infinity C (Classia speakers) - this would make it interesting
The 205 and 225 speakers.
