Would it be advisable to upgrade my Bose Lifestyle 48 Home Theater system, which is hard wired in the ceiling when purchasing the new Sony x950H tv. The tv audio system has Dolby audio Atmos, DTS digital surround, voice zoom, and simulated surround sound.

Personally, I would run to a new system and away from Bose.

What are your Goals and Desires?

Do you want an AVR and standalone speakers? Are you just doing HT? Music too?

We could easily get you to spend 5-10K on a full upgrade if you want! :p

It doesn't really matter, good setups work well for both. Ceiling speakers for all would not work for Atmos, tho. The tv itself also is a poor central processor for good audio....

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Got a terrific deal on a Home theater system. Yamaha RX-V585, Episode 350 Series in ceiling speakers (front and rear), Episode 500 series LCR speaker w/dual 4" woofers, Episode Evolution Series 8" Subwoofer 300 watt
