That sounds right - something like 2 seconds. There are a few cases where it is an annoyance, but there isn't a lot in my library that needs that sort of gapless playback. The few I can think of I also have on DVD-A or SACD.
In any case, that problem depends on the listener and the music.
The interface is pretty stable. It does hang every now and then but I've found that usually is a result of overusing my NAS (too many other simultaneous read/writes) or a conflict between the actual contents of my media folder and the content list as last reported to the Oppo by Twonky. That happens if I add to or remove files from the content folder, and try to access a file no longer there, before Twonky has refreshed the content directory.
There have been maybe 3 times in the last year that required me to remove the power from the Oppo. Maybe only two. In any case, it has a few quirks. It would be great if it had more flexibility in how to browse my music, but it works okay for me.
baniels: How would you rate the stability of the oppo 93 interface, how often does the device lock up on you if so ?
Also while I know the oppo does not support gapless when streaming, how much of a gap is really there between tracks ?
