Hello, I need some help form the masters of home audio!
I have been using a Polk RMDS-1 system for the last 8 years, I bought it used as a display model and haven't had a single issue with it since (except for one input dying from me tripping on a cord). Also, at the time it sounded better than everything else I'd ever heard (again, I'm not an audioholic, I just like my stuff to sound good)
I'm going to give this system to my dad, and upgrade, as I just bought a new TV (Sony Bravia 55").
The only thing I'll have hooked up to it are a ps3 and possibly a turntable. I watch tv/movies, play games, and listen to music.
I'm leaning toward a HK 2600? This is based mostly on looks, I have to admit.
Also, this may be better asked to the speaker section, but is there a good speaker/sub pairing that would work well with this system?
I really did like how easy and worry-free the RMDS-1 system was, I am definitely capable of hooking electronics up, but it sure is nice when everything you've bought gets along nicely
I don't want to spend more than $1000 total on my new system, and I have no problem shopping for used speakers.
Input would be much appreciated!
