I'm trying to put together a good entry level home theater system. I just bought an Athena Micra 6 and an onkyo reciever (as reccomended in the $1000 budget system on this site). Anyway, I have a sony DVD player that is probably about 3 years old (DVP-S360) and I have it hooked up with coaxial digital. Anyway, I was wondering if it would be worth my money to upgrade to a new pioneer DVD player. I don't really plan on buying SACD's, so that feature doesnt matter. But, I was wondering if having the newer audio processing technology would really make that much of a difference. And, if there is a difference, is it really worth my $200 for this difference, or will it really not be that big of a deal. Thanks for your help.

If you're reciever is doing all the processing (set to bitstream on dvd player) then how would the audio improve from better processing on a newer dvd player?
IMHO until you get into much higher priced dvd players than $200 you will see little or no difference, maybe some video improvements but I would'nt say audio.
