First of all, hi everyone! I'm pretty much a complete newb at this thing - one with a rather limited budget, I'm afraid. Right now, I have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 8.2s (1) "mounted" on blobs of blutack, and a Sony STR-DG500 (2) avr connected to a heavily silencified computer via coax s/pdif. The Diamonds are sort of biamped - woofer and tweeter driven by separate channels, but sharing the same amp's power supply, obviously. The listening position (3) is also less than ideal - mostly in the chair, sometimes in a beanie bag about three feet further back.
I have about $350 for this upgrade - where'd be the weak link I can replace with that kind of money for the best improvement? Thanks.
