Well I'm sure everyone is loosing sleep wondering what upgrades I made to my system.
On Christmas morning I put in a bid for a Denon 4310CI on Ebay. Checked Denon's web site to make sure it was from an authorized dealer, but didn't really expect to get it. Checked the bid closing Christmas night, and whod-u-thunk $1150 would have bought it?
The day after Christmas I drive 180 miles to my closest (and favorite) high end AV store, and find they are having an "end of year/liquidating inventory for the new owner sale". I'm looking to upgrade my rear channel speakers. But with the "end of year/liquidating inventory for the new owner sale" and everything, I decide to update my front
and rear speakers. So I buy a set of B&W 683's for the front and a set of 685's for the rear. But because of the sale, the 683's and the 685's together were less than the regular price of the 683's. So I figured I'd be crazy not to buy them both, right?
I guess the sub is next on the upgrade list. I've enjoyed my Velodyne, but it's like 15 or 20 years old, so I've got my $$ worth.
