I have a Denon AVR-4800 based system and have flat run out of inputs, especially HDMI. Right now I need more so I have concluded that the best place to free up some of the inputs is to install a HDMI switcher to handle my three
Sony 400 disk Jukeboxes.
The problem is that two of the units have HDMI out but the third one is a CD player only and as such it only has L/R and Toslink outputs. The Impact Acoustics switch that I bought only supports HDMI.
So my question is there any adapter/converter made that would input Toslink and couple that to the audio portion of HDMI? If not, could one be built?
BTW, the switcher has remote control and I plan to do the switching by programming an activity for each Jukebox in my Logitech Harmony remote that includes the switcher change when selected.
