unplug onk876, settings saved?

lately around where i live we have been having some serious lightning intinsive storms. i go around an unplug everything i care about, tvs, reciever, etc. i started wondering, how long will my 876 retain setting like radio stations, Audyssey calibration...

side note, here is a photo i shot last night.

I only speak theorectically, but I believe that information is stored in flash memory. So theorectically it would stay forever. However if you use an APC power strip you are insured against lighting strikes. I suggest you pick one up and plug everything into it. You can get a really nice power conditioner here. Regulates the voltage and surge protects.

I would say days...

This is totally anecdotal since it’s a different receiver, but my Onkyo TX-SR800 recalled all of its settings after being in storage for 6 months.

Forever I think is the correct answer, but I didn't want to make such a bold statement;)
