unique speaker setup question?

For more connection and audio options, I’d look at a Denon S760H and Monolith by Monoprice M518HT THX Certified 5.1 Home Theater System. The little Denon is actually quite capable with five 4 ohm speakers and can be had from Costco on the cheap. Both pieces could be had for the $1,000 limit and it would be a sweet little setup.

Why not have surround sound and full network control and hi-res audio support over wifi in the setup if it can be done within budget? It really would be a sweet little setup and big improvement in sound I’m sure. Though, there are lots of options out there and the most user friendly is a must here. But, I’ll always vote for the network option over Bluetooth connection.
And that Monoprice speaker setup right now is
on sale for 409.99

So yeah @killercripple you can actually for 580 buy those Monoprice Monolith speakers I linked skip the Dac and buy 2 of those subs I linked and have a really really solid setup and since those speakers are Bluetooth you should have complete control with your phone

I'm sure the other guys will have some ideas as well. So keep an eye out on this thread and go with whichever option people suggest that you think sounds the best for you. Glad to have you hear on the forum looking forward to getting to know you
It has bluetooth controls particularly for the likes of on/off, tone control/eq, etc? I guess it depends how much remote control he needs....

If I go the AVR route my only real limitation is buget. ill try to snap a pitvure of my room, so you all can get a feel for what im working with. might take a few days. still getting settled back in. just got back from the hospital (5 months). so my room is totally setup different nowand i got more damn medical equipment ( ventilator, hoyer lift & ect ) had to go and stop breathing lol. guess i thought i needed to see what that was like first hand lol

Get to feeling better and don't stop breathing. You've done it, just don't do it anymore.

Unfortunately you seem to be one of those cases I used to specialize in. But may I ask what you hand arm function is what dexterity you still have? I think it is essential to know this, in order to advise you correctly. Am I right to assume you have a TV in your room? It was my practice to follow patients like you from ICU, to rehab to home. I used to work closely with OT, to make sure the patient had the right equipment and maximized functionality and quality of life.
Don't be afraid to get your occupational therapist involved in this. It is all about maximizing a patient's quality of life.
