I have used my Sony CD changer for over ten years. I have also had my Sony subwoofer and Polk RTi4 speakers for about the same amount of time. What has changed over the years is the amplification. I have used various Sherwood, Insignia, and Pioneer receivers as well as some shelf stereos with worn out CD players. For a while I also used a Crown power amp and a passive preamp (volume control). The amp that sounds the best with that other gear is an LG CM4360 from a shelf system we were using in out kitchen until the CD player died. It has preset EQ / region, so when I picked the right one, this system came alive like never before. I am quite surprised about this. To me this system sounds great. Peace and goodwill.
