Good morning, new to home theater. Looking to buy a Marantz sr5015. We watch a lot of Netflix and Amazon Prime which (according to a google search) both use DD+. According to the Marantz website, the 5015 does not have DD+. Is there a way around this? Not sure what to do. Thanks in advance for any responses!

I looked at their website and I don't see DD+ either. I find that it may decode it anyway as it does Atmos/DTS:x. My almost 6 year old Yamaha does DD+, so I would think the Marantz would also. Worse case, it will just default and play the base DD. DD+ is used by streaming to carry the Atmos info.

I think the nutshell version is it supports 7.1, and is a more efficient compression scheme.

The 5015 will be just fine.

Looking at the 5015 manual page on Marantz's site is a particular pdf document for surround parameter table, showing Dolby Digital Plus is indeed a codec it handles....( oops, this part wasn't from the OP : and if you're getting the Atmos indicator on your avr then sure sounds like you're getting DD+/Atmos). You may need to make appropriate settings for audio in the tv? Are you connecting via hdmi/ARC?

Yes, I'll be connecting using HDMI. I didn't go as far as looking at the manual, I just looked at the specs on the brochure. Thanks
