If it does sound like crap when you turn it up, turn it back down. Easiest way to control damage to both your ears and speakers. If you try and drive the speakers past the amp's capability then bad things can happen, especially when alcohol is also involved

. The max wattage ratings for the speakers are only so meaningful....
Your mains are 91dB sensitive (i.e. at 2.83V input, or 1 watt at 8 ohms, spl is rated at 91dB at one meter distance from the speaker) so your receiver can get your speakers to quite loud levels. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're planning on extremely high spl playback at a fair distance from the speakers. Use an spl calculator like this to get an idea how loud you can get with the power you have
