Uncompressed vs DTS true HD etc....

What are some of your opinions as to letting the player decode for the amp(uncompressed) versus letting the amp decode the Bitstream from the player and listening to the DTS HD or Dolby Digital True?

I don't have any choice but to let the player(ps3) do it. I would also be interested in hearing comments from anyone with a player than can do it both ways.

Yeah, I let the player decode everything and send it directly to my preamps, which send it to my amps.

I think most of the TrueHD and DTS-MA decoders are the similar in terms of sound quality, so it doesn't really matter whether you let the receiver or player decode it.
