UMC-1 to BDP-93 connection

I'm connecting an Oppo BDP-93 to an Emotiva UMC-1. Am I better off having the Oppo or the Emotiva doing the audio D/A conversions? Or does it make no difference?
Power amps: Fronts: Levinson 434 to B&W 802d
Rears/center: Emotiva XPA-3 to B&W 803d/HTM1
Listen to stereo audio 50% of the time.

I would try it both ways to see if the analog section of the Oppo is better, but I'd guess they are likely to be close in performance and you will end up just going with HDMI.

It shouldn't really mater, just make sure you are sending bitstream signal, not lpcm

Vast majority of processors would not apply dsp/room auto-correction on lpcm inputs

If using analog, the player has to do the bass management also. I don't mind the bass management on my 83SE, but it is likely a bit better in the UMC-1.
