Two Center Speakers???

Chris it would seem to me if Cyrus placed the side-by-side centers inside of the bookshelves on either side and in back of the TV the off axis dialog would be compounded even more due to the TV/fireplace sticking out ahead of and thus blocking the far side center if sitting off axis. I'd certainly consider Chris' idea of building an insert above the TV for the center.

Cyrus, does the TV get hot if you are using the fireplace?

when i was still using klipsch speakers i used 2 centers on either side of 5 foot wide entertainment center with great results, & did not notice any sound problems from having 2 centers, but both were set up equidistant from the listening position. i did not ever do any serious listening outside of the "sweet spot" listening position, so can't say if it can cause a problem or not. what i can say is that if you have the ability to use 2 floor standers as a dual center channel it makes a significant difference for both music & movies.

Fireplace??? We've had it 11 years and only used it 2x (for effect!!). I'm in Pensacola, FL!!! Its only gas logs.

I will probably go with adding a second speaker.
