I have a 5.1.2 setup,I feel I still have to increase the volume on elevation speakers, calibration. Is normal or a preference audio taste to do this?

Where are the speakers situated (both in terms of what channels are they playing as well as how the speakers are positioned in relation to the other speakers) ? In the end it's just preference, though.

Always worthy to caution about boosting trim to positive numbers. This involves DSP to increase the signal above the normal levels and is the fastest way to introduce distortion, clipping, and the potential to over-power your speakers.

Yeah it kinda depends on where they were set db wise initially.
FWIW it is common to bump them a little after calibration. Having four heights is helpful with immersion AND perceived output volume. If you’re stuck with.2 just bump up to taste.
