TV Out with Coaxial Cable

In the family room, we have one unit. While that specific room have satellite, we disabled cable, so I'm using an antenna (how embarrassing:(). I used the TV-Out of the unit and ran a long coaxial line to my room tv. The TV I am using is pretty old (you need to twist a knob to change the contrast, brightness, etc. lol)

My results are = it's working but the quality sucks and I experience "some noise".

Is this because of the old TV? Using a coaxial cable? or the coaxial line is too long?

Also, is there a unit I can buy to use that one unit but also have the power to change the channels without interrupting the main TV?

Thank you for helping!

Welcome to the forum!

It could be that the signal strength is getting too degraded over the cable between the two TVs. You could try a signal amplifier like this one at Radio Shack (just an example, there are others). That has worked for me in the past.

I need a bit of clarification on your setup here.
Do I understand that you have a Tv that has an antenna attached, no cable of any kind? Is this antenna roof mounted? Set top mounted in the room?
What cable does that uses, flat cable or the round coax cable? How is the picture on that TV?

Then, you are running a coax cable from the TV to your TV in another room? How long is that run? Does that TV support antenna output?
