First, I got these for outside listening and I'm not really going for superb sound quality. I'm expecting that these will need to be replaced every few years with how dry it is in Arizona.

Initial thoughts:
They were shipped Fed-Ex and arrived Wednesday. They were ordered Sunday night. The speakers came from Carson, CA. Packaging was standard styrofoam. Included were two cutouts/paint shields and a slip with warranty information. No manual was included because they are available for download off the website.

The sound quality is better than I expected. For $60/pair I'd not have any qualms recommending these for outdoor use. They do remind me of the Niles in-ceiling speakers that I have for my rears. Sound is recessed in the middle and lower ranges making them treble heavy.

Tweeters are aimable and move very easily. They also are able to be pulled out of their socket with a little force. One arrived that way and I just snapped it back in. The wire connections are spring loaded doo-hickeys like push buttons. Same style as the stoppers found on hooded sweatshirt hood strings.

Interesting build point is that the wires for the woofer connection are thicker than the wires for the tweeter connection.

My Aperion fronts and center definitely blow these out of the water for sound quality. But, that is to be expected since they're built with much more precision and care in all regards.

All in all, decent and respectable for the price point. They'll stay and add to the outdoor noise level!

I've had some more time listening to these bad boys and I want to add some information.

I'm really impressed with the overall sound quality. They really sound much more "expensive" than they were and I would not hesitate to add these for a whole house sound system scenario or an outdoor (covered) patio. They do a great job of presenting the sound crisply and with decent bass. The bass is definitely not overpowering, but, a little underwhelming. Still, there's a decent amount of it.

I still stick with my view that they shouldn't be used for home theater application (left, center, right) speakers. As surrounds, they'd be just fine, but on-wall or in-wall speakers would be better.
