Trying to decide between Monitor Audio BX5 and PSB Image T5

Hello,

This is my first post. I have to buy a 2nd set of speakers as my KEF q35.2 crossover finally died. I have a 20 x 24 room that I am using a Marantz NR1601 in. I need a smaller set of towers and I heard the PSB Image T5/6. The T6 is too large for my application. I really don't want a speaker over 36" high and need a front port. Bookshelves aren't an option due to the configuration of my room. I can't find a monitor audio dealer in atlanta. I am curious about the BX-5. These would be used for low volume music play and occasional movies. I made the mistake of listening to the Imagine T and T6 before hearing the T5 set. I am assuming if I give my ears some time to reset, I will be perfectly happy. I am not trying to spend a lot on these as I have a primary listening set upstairs. What do you guys think ? I have found a good deal on both.

I have no experience with MA speakers. They, meaning PSB or MA, would be used for streaming music primarily

Yeah, 40" is too high. I haven't heard the Wharfdales. Do you have experience with the MA or PSB's ? The Wharfdale size is perfect.

I am not a huge ma audio fan, and the PSB you listed are OK, although I LOVE every speaker in the imagine line the {minis and t2's are amazing as are the bookshelfs in that series}. I think you can do better....

Why do you like the Focal's better ? I see some deals, but I would like to know your reasoning.

Based on some speakers that I have owned or heard, Focal does not slap me in the face.
I do like their tweeter - they can handle music and movies, they image well - and can
play at low volumes.

PSB is nice - however, I have not been a big fan of the Image series for music. They
are nice for movies

I can not speak for the Monitor Audio BX series - however, I like the Silver and Radius
series - mainly the Silver series. However, the RX6 is front and rear ported. The RX6
has good resolution, detail and imaging.
