nevermind, I thought of why it wont work. The big *** dining room table they have. if you were to put a couch there, they would probably touch.

I kinda thought so...

I had a feeling that there might be some problem like that with the furniture and the dining room set-up, but I thought I'd just toss it out there. One of the things that's always impressed me about the home theater pros that I've talked to in my neighborhood (northern Detroit suburbs), is that most of them look at things differently than the standard, "I gotta have it this way," mind-set we, as home-owners bring to the party. Okay, that I bring to the party.

By looking at things differently, though, and proposing some "What if..." ideas, I think sometimes the creative gears can get churning.

Good luck with that room.

OK so were back to racking our brains on this room. As we stand now, the owner has accepted that he will need to spend good money on a quality auto calibrating sound bar, and also a good sub. We are only moving on to the wiring stage but I'm always thinking ahead. We never really nailed down what kind of a sub he would need in this thread, so lets work on that :D

I would love to see him with a SVS Ultra (or two) but does he really need to go that big? Lets hear some ideas, and reasons why!

P.S. The owner isnt really a movie person, so we all know (including him) that were leaving a lot on the table with a sound bar. Real long term is when they get a different house they will have a real nice sound bar for the bedroom (A great place IMO for a sound bar) and a big bad sub for a more suitable HT set up.
