Some background: I own a very modest av system, which only recently I upgraded ( details in my Sig). Also I live in one bedroom apt on 4th floor of 7 floor building.
Today then I came home from work around 7:30pm I noticed unusually loud music playing almost at uncomfortable levels from my neighbors above me.
Now, my building is not typically known to have paper thin walls, so I assume they have been playing their stuff (care guess? Yes, you got it right -a very old folk songs) loud loudly.
I turned on my system to modest volume -25db , only slightly typical -30db - which is more than enough to watch tv.
Now to my surprise , the music upstairs gets even louder - and frankly beginning to annoy me....
Well, short story told even shorter : After
Avatar Trailer (Dolby D) at -12db, all loud music upstairs stopped at which point I turned down my system back to typical -30db...
Lesson learned gents. [ me = ebil grin ]
p.s: Afternote - It was the first time I drove system this loud , and it didn't braked a sweat - very pleasant surprise !!
