I own a tripplite isobar 8. I just noticed a slight buzz whenever its connected to a power outlet. It may have done it all along and I never noticed, or it may have jsut started. Any ideas how to fix this and whether or not the strip is still good?

Thanks

Is this buzz there all the time?
Does it go away when you unplug a unit from it?

I worked at an industrial company and they had them onsite everywhere but I honestly don't remember them buzzing (surrounding noise obviously). I am assuming you were several feet away when you heard it. It sounds suspicious to me. (no pun intended)

Call tripplite, if I'm not mistaken they have lifetime warranty, so if it's failing/failed they should be able to help you out.

Good luck

Like I said, its a pretty quiet buzz which is why I don't know how long it's been going on. It happens all the time the unit is plugged in.

thanks for your responses

I've got one and it buzzes pretty loud. You don't notice it unless all of the gear is off and nothing is playing, but you can hear it from 2 feet or so. At first I thought it was my Tivo, but then realized that it was the Tripplite. It's a nuisance, but so much that I'll 86 it from my system.

I emailed tripplite and they said it had to be replaced. Guess I'll have that done.

Jason- drop them an email and I'm sure they'll replace yours too.
