I've got a collection of equip and could use advice on what to use, etc. Available: (Amps: Harmon Kardon AVR520, Carver M1.5) (PreAmps: Marantz AV 550, Tandberg TCA 3002A), (Turntables B&O beogram rx; Soto Moonbeam and micro seiki DD-40). Which would you hook up to Klipsch RF-3's, Klipsch KSB 3.1's and polk cs245.

Would like to upgrade and figure speakers would be the best place to start. Possibilities are Linn Ninka, Carver AL-3, or maybe some Paradigm's. Don't really want to go over $2000 for speaker upgrade. Also, would Thiel cs2.3 work or is upline quality too poor to get benefit?

More interested in music than surround sound. Music interests are more Van Morrison and Willie Nelson than 50cent. Also classical.

Any help would be greatly appreciated including how to string this stuff together. Again, Thanks.

I'd definitely hang on to the Carver M1.5 (350W), it'll power most any speaker you'll want.
I would use the HK520 (Center & Surrounds) and Carver (to RF-3s) to power your current speakers.

Keep the SOTA moonbeam! B&O's look good. Micro Sekai TT's usually have a very nice finish.

What are the problems with your speakers?
If you really need to change, you need to listen to the other speakers yourself, in your acoustic space.
