First off I have attached an image of my HT room, I have Paradigm speakers, and a yamaha rcvr. I'm happy with the sound, but like anyone else I want better. My room kinda sucks acoutically, probably because it is very open.Everything has to pass the "WIFE FACTOR" but I am planning to move the bookshelf from my studio into the HT room (maybe that will help). But without going too wild is there anything else I can do to improve this room or am I just stuck with what I got (by the way the big opening in the back of the room goes directly into the kitchen/dining area, which is quite large and has a tile floor, a nice size 8 person wood table. Any Suggestions?

P.S.- Thanks Mr.T for the speaker placement help.
P.P.S.- The speaker locations are: surrounds on the side walls located left and right of the couch. Fronts by the TV, and Sub to the left of the Left front speaker against the front wall.
