I just want them to be perfect... and since I am not sure...I thought I'd ask.
No worries, this is just one of those hotly debated details which in the end is of little consequence. I don't believe anyone thinks of it like a car engine where you don't want to set the cruise control and spend the first 8 hours on the interstate at a fixed RPM.
Any music offers a good variation of frequencies and amplitudes.

The theory is that the materials are stiff and will loosen with use. There are also some similar notions for the electrical components (right or wrong).

If you subscribe to break-in (and why not?), louder would break in faster, but you wouldn't want to go too loud and abuse them.

Of course it makes an elegant argument to say, "Break them in at the level you listen. It may take a little longer, but they will be broken with the extension profile of your own listening habits".

Just use 'em, enjoy 'em, and if they seem to sound better down the road, so much the better!:)

BTW, nice speakers!

I did I did.... I'll post some pics in the near future. I just got them so I think I will break them in for about a week...

Question that you might know: Does the music have to be playing continuously or can I shut the music off at night and start her up again in the morning?
The music doesn't have to be constantly but the faster you can rack up hours the sooner you will enjoy them. I played my speakers for 5 days/24hours.

I'm a believer in break-in after I heard my first pair of Totems. I had M&K 750 and replaced them with the Rainmakers. When I first heard the Rainmakers I was pissed, they sounded no better than the M&K's which sucked for music listening. I was going out of town so I left them playing for 5 days at a moderate level. When I returned I walked in to my house ( I forgot I left them on) and immediately heard the difference but thats my opinion and it's recommended by the manufacturer.
