Toshiba TV Oppo DVD ...question???

I have a 2 year old Toshiba Cinema Series DLP TV. I want to buy the new Oppo DVD player but read if your TV doesn't support HDCP that it won't work.. I have no clue what HDCP is, will this combination work for me??? Thanks!!

HDCP is High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection - the scheme used to protect digital signals from being copied. If the player expects HDCP and the TV does not support it, it won't work.

If your Toshiba is a HD ready, then you should have nothing to worry about.
