Just checked amazon.com: $182.20, no tax, "Free Super Saver Shipping". Free HD DVD's included. Bought mine a few days ago there for $223. I think this is a great deal.

Worked OK this evening. My total for Player with 5 discs (2 with the machine + 3 added to order) was $172.53. I'm not sure if I can get the 5 HD DVD mail-in promo since I'm still waiting for the 5 discs from a previous player purchase - I think it's one offer per household.

Ok, so I thought I was getting a deal at $223 until AverageJoe posted that it was now $172!!!

HOWEVER: As a female consumer I know that if I shop in a B&M store, purchase an item, and then see it on sale within 30 days of my prior purchase, I can legally request a refund of the difference. It is commonly done. So, I thought, can I do this with online purchases? Well, you can at Amazon.com! I have posted a new thread in DEALS about Amazon's price drop policy & how to submit a "Refund Inquiry". It's easy.

I have submitted mine & hope to be getting the current $178 price. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Yup, submitted my Refund Inquiry last night & woke up this morning to an email saying they are crediting the $50 to my credit card! Quick & easy!
