I watched two of the new episodes and they were horible. I just don't understand why redo a great show? If the British version is a hit (oh my god is it good), just air it in the US. Simple, and cheep. Guess they just like to spend money on something that is going to fail.
I'm not in the business but I think this is how and why they make a show like this. "Lets find some one to give us X dollars to create a show that we'll tell them will be as big a hit as the original. Then we will spend 0.5 X on making the show, and we'll pocket the rest." Who cares if it sucks.
