Congrats on the twins. My experience with PSB is somewhat limited. I hope to see some kind of review or listening impressions once you've had a chance to listen to them for a while.

I've only had one opportunity to drive an M3 and it was a while ago. It was a 2001 model and really was an amazing drive. The handling was phenomenal. I can only imagine how good the newer models are now.

Congrats man on your new system!! How are you liking the T45s? Pink FLoyd sounds really good on them. :) . Should try some blues next if your into it.

My T45s are in black and my next upgrade will be a new HT receiver.. leaning towards the higher end Yamaha because they still have a phono input and the lower end models dropped them for some reason.

I understand speaker break in to be a myth. The article is somewhere around here, maybe in a sticky, maybe somebody else knows right where it is and will post a link to it.

What I've gathered about break-in is that it isn't your speakers that break in, it's your ears. It takes a little time for everyones ears to adjust to the sound of a new speaker, so by saying you have to break them in 100 hours before they will reach their full potential, it's actually saying that after about 100 hours your ears will have adjusted to the new sound being produced. That's my opinion, of course, there are a few different thoughts to it, and if you want to break in, no one can really stop you.

We are your new audiophile friends now. You will be assimilated. Coat hangers will be your choice for speaker wire. All amps sound the same when driven within their limits. Third party measurements are for the greater good. Kill your old audiophile friends. :D

There is no break in. The speakers break in within the first couple seconds of having signal sent to them. That is another "Audiophile" myth.....your ears need to adjust to the new sounds...

Before I had the T45s, I use to own a pair of Technics SB-T200 and when I first started playing the PSBs, I noticed almost a lack of bass compared to the Technics speakers. As time went on, I did notice the bass alot more. But I also noticed that it was way more musical, not so flat and one note sounding like the Technics. I'm not gonna say that it was just my ears only. I did notice an improved bass response after playing them for a couple of hours a day in a 2 week span. It was my normal listening habit and not a break in period.

Drivers do burn in, however the audibility of the burned in driver vs fresh out of the box is very questionable. It takes a while for spider to stretch and soften and for suspension to become compliant
to the specs, but the changes are very small and rarely audible.
